Samsung Will Buy half of LG’s OLED TV Panels Next Year.

The newest report out of Korea claims that Samsung will buy one million OLED panels from LG Display in 2021 and four million in 2022.

The report is originally from MTN and has now been cited by a number of other Korean and American news organizations. This will be the first time Samsung will purchase OLED displays from LG, and if the report is true could mark the return of Samsung to the OLED TV market since it left almost ten years ago.

Rumors have it that Samsung needs all those OLED panels to improve its QD-OLED technology after the two other technologies – Micro LED and QD-OLED – didn’t hit the brightness levels Samsung was expecting them to.

Since the report came out, several news site has reached out to Samsung for comments nonetheless nothing has been heard, neither has the company confirm or deny the report yet.
